Alexa Wagner

Alexa Wagner is a versatile artist based in Munich, Germany, known for her evolution in different art styles. After opening her VernisArt Studio in 2007, she initially worked under various pseudonyms such as Sophia Lordes, Robert Lange, and Maurice, experimenting with multiple styles. By 2010, she began creating under her own name, developing her signature black-and-white acrylic style, which brought her recognition in the German art scene. Notable works from this period include “Mann mit Hut” (Man with Hat) and “Zwei Gesichter” (Two Faces).

In the years that followed, Alexa further refined her unique style with pieces like “Neugier” (Curiousness) and “Das Alter” (The Age), which solidified her distinctive black-and-white acrylic approach. In 2015, her work shifted to focus more on form and function. She incorporated ornamental elements into her signature style with pieces such as “Formen” (Shapes) and experimented with dimensional surfaces using materials like linen and glue, as seen in “Wellen” (Waves).

The COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 marked another creative shift when Alexa embraced digital tools and generative art. Inspired by the emerging CryptoArt movement, she created “Nervous Shapes,” her first generative art piece, showcasing her ability to continuously adapt and evolve her artistic practice.
